چکیده

also serves to emphasize the areas of agreement and disagreement, so that the non-specialized reader can formulate an intelligent impression of the "firmness" of the various current concepts in the field. In addition to the discussions of the relation between lipids and arteriosclerosis, the Conference gave brief consideration to renal pressor substances and physical factors related to hypertension and arteriosclerosis. The publication of these transactions is a highly commendable endeavor, and this particular report should be valuable to the expert on hypertension as well as to the interested student. F. D. Investigating the CTGF mRNA Expression Level in Patients with Colorectal Cancer

Background: The Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) gene encoding an extracellular matrix (ECM)-associated protein and as a member of the CCN family of proteins plays a major role in fibrosis, inflammation and connective tissue remodeling in a variety of diseases including cancer. The CCN proteins are multifunctional and are involved in cell proliferation, adhesion and cell development durin...

Non-myogenic Contribution to Muscle Development and Homeostasis: The Role of Connective Tissues

Skeletal muscles belong to the musculoskeletal system, which is composed of bone, tendon, ligament and irregular connective tissue, and closely associated with motor nerves and blood vessels. The intrinsic molecular signals regulating myogenesis have been extensively investigated. However, muscle development, homeostasis and regeneration require interactions with surrounding tissues and the cel...

Viscoelastic properties of bovine orbital connective tissue and fat: constitutive models.

Reported mechanical properties of orbital connective tissue and fat have been too sparse to model strain-stress relationships underlying biomechanical interactions in strabismus. We performed rheological tests to develop a multi-mode upper convected Maxwell (UCM) model of these tissues under shear loading. From 20 fresh bovine orbits, 30 samples of connective tissue were taken from rectus pulle...

The application of quantitative cytochemistry to the study of diseases of the connective tissues.

The connective tissues are a complex organisation of tissues, cells and intercellular materials spread throughout the body and are subject to a large number of diseases. Such complexity makes the study of the metabolism of the connective tissues in health and more particularly in disease states difficult if one uses conventional biochemical methodology. Fortunately the techniques of quantitativ...

Collagen orientation and molecular spacing during creep and stress-relaxation in soft connective tissues.

Collagen fibres form cross-helical, cross-ply or quasi-random feltworks in extensible connective tissues; strain-induced reorientation of these networks gives rise to the non-linear mechanical properties of connective tissue at finite strains. Such tissues are also generally viscoelastic (i.e. display time-dependent properties). The hypothesis that time-dependent reorientation of collagen fibre...

بررسی هیستوپاتولوژی اثر داروی Oralmedic بر روند ترمیم زخم دهانی در یک مطالعه حیوانی

Introductions: Recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) is a common disease and suitable treatment has been unsuccessful. The purpose of this study was evaluating oral wound healing process following use of Oralmedic. Methods: In this animal study, mucosal ulcers with the same size were made in the lower lip of 12 mice with the same weight, gender and race. The mice were selected randomly divided...
